Catchments Australia Foundation

The Integrated Catchment Management Public Fund (Catchments Australia Foundation) sources and manages funds to support the RBMS develop and share knowledge and promote capacity building in Integrated Catchment Management.

The Foundation is the RBMSs public fund and allows tax-deductible status for donations to the Fund. The tax deductible status allows the fund to receive donations from members of the public, institutions or companies for the services of the Integrated Catchment Management industry.

The seed funds for the foundation were raised by two distinguished RBMS Patron’s, Don Thompson and Ron Hodges. The foundation is managed by a board consisting of Lance Lloyd (Chair), Brian Finlayson, Ross Hardie, Ian Rutherfurd, John Senior, John Tilleard, and Amanda Wealands.

The Foundation’s initial actions have to develop a business plan, gain the necessary approvals and accreditations as well as assist (and partly fund) the appointment of our Executive Officer. We hope to be able to progress a number of initiatives which support industry capacity building through mentoring, education opportunities, networking, and supporting innovation.
