RBMS Seminar - Thursday 13 October: managing for charismatic species

The River Basin Management Society (RBMS) is pleased to present an evening of thought-provoking discussion on Thursday 13 October, 2011.
Gunbower, galaxias & growling grass frogs - by managing for charismatic species are we letting down other species and ecosystems?
Are we brave enough to have a holistic conversation about what we want and can achieve in terms of sustainable landscapes?
Our speakers include:
- Chris Arnott - Council Member of the Victorian Catchment Management Council and Founder & Former Managing Director at Alluvium Consulting Pty Ltd
- Steve Smith - Senior Project Officer, Natural Values Fire Recovery, Department of Sustainability and Environment.
- Nick Roberts - Red Gum and River Rescue Project Coordinator, Victorian National Parks Association.
The evening will be facilitated by Dr Simon Treadwell, Practice Leader Aquatic Ecology, SKM.
Cheese, wine and soft drink will be provided.
